Photos from the LA premiere of the expanded “Cabal Cut” of Clive Barker’s Nightbreed.  Star Craig Sheffer and expanded version shepherds, Mark Miller & Russell Cherrington, accompanied Clive Barker for a lengthy, hilarious, and impassioned introduction to the film and held a Q&A after the screening.

The cut is currently sourced from two VHS workprints and Warner Bros. original DVD.  Those involved with the project are petitioning the rights holder, Morgan Creek, to dig into the archives and retrieve the original materials in order to give Clive’s vision a proper restoration.  A web site, www.occupymidian.com, has been set up with information and a petition.  An additional 14 screenings have been set up across the country to help spread the word and get this version of the film seen.   

Having watched it and seeing how close to Clive Barker’s heart this project is, it’s worth making a reality.  They’re not asking for money.  They just want support from fans.
